hey dc401'ers! i'm a long-time lurker & one-time meeting attendee ...
i'm not sure if i could actually spend more than 10 minutes talking about
this stuff -- it's pretty obvious once you explain how MicroID works --
but this week i released a TR having to do with privacy risks on Digg &
Last.fm. i'd been sitting on it for a while until i heard back from them,
but they've now stopped using the offending standard & the hole is closed.
basically they were publishing these little identity tokens (SHA-1 hashes)
on their user profile pages that enabled me to guess/crack 25% of their
users' email addresses:

i could also give a talk about my P2P e-cash research -- i have slides
from last year's WPES that are pretty fun. Alice and Bob are depicted
with Wii avatars!
